MAYHEM, BLOOD RED THRONE Confirmed For Norway's QUART 08 Festival

MAYHEM and BLOOD RED THRONE have been confirmed for the Quart 08 festival, set to take place July 2-5 in Kristiansand, Norway. MAYHEM will play at Plenen on Saturday, July 5 along with BENEA REACH, KEEP OF KALESSIN, CLUTCH and CRADLE OF FILTH. BLOOD RED THRONE is scheduled to perform at Hallen on Friday, July 4 on a bill that will also include NILE and THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN.

MAYHEM recently parted ways with guitarist/songwriter Blasphemer (a.k.a. Rune Eriksen).

MAYHEM was honored in the "Metal" category at the 36th annual Spellemann awards (the Norwegian equivalent to the Grammy Awards) for their latest release, "Ordo Ad Chao". The largest and oldest Norwegian music awards show was held on February 2 at the Spektrum in Oslo, Norway and was broadcast live on the Norwegian channel TV2.

BLOOD RED THRONE's video for the song "Taste of God" can be viewed below. The track comes off the group's latest CD, "Come Death", which received a European release last August via Earache Records.
